The purpose and aim of the association “Children in Okhaldhunga, Nepal, Inc.” are, in 1997, founded schools and development projects Shree Nava Jyoti Primary and Secondary School in Maidan, Okhaldhunga, with the help encourage people to help themselves and to lead to independence. This includes not only school education to vocational training, at the conclusion settle the young people in their regions and develop them further.

Maidane School Project
Maidan is located in a remote mountain region in eastern Nepal, south of Mount Everest at an altitude of 2600 m. The closer the project Eingzugsgebiet are eleven villages with 300 peasant families, which consist of 10 to 15 people. The average annual income is the equivalent of below 240 €. The villagers are among the poorest in Nepal in 1997 and still 100 percent illiterate. The association also promotes a health station.
